FAQs

To achieve the best results, we recommend starting with a series of 6 sessions, 2-3 times per week. After completing the initial series, continuing with weekly visits will maintain and enhance results overtime.

Please wear fitted gym clothing that does not have zippers or buttons. We recommend that men wear long workout pants and a t-shirt. Women should wear form fitting top and leggings. All jewellery should be removed and long hair tied up in a bun before the session to avoid any accidents. Socks are required.

Keeping hydrated is always essential especially during this process as it activates the lymphatic system, which relies on fluid movement within the body. Water consumption before, during and after the session facilitates the detoxification process. We’ve sourced the best purified water in Brisbane from The Pure Water Specialists for our clients to enjoy and stay hydrated.

Just like traditional deep tissue or lymphatic drainage massage, clients can feel a little tender or sore the day after. This is especially the case if your body is holding onto toxins, or it has been a while since your last massage.

This is a sign that the lymphatic system has been activated and the toxins are on the way out of your body. The lymph collects some waste products, bacteria and damaged cells from inside the body’s tissues so that they can be removed from the body or destroyed. The discomfort usually lasts about a day or less if you continue to stay hydrated. Taking a hot shower to promote relaxation or an Epsom salt bath or using a natural topical muscle rub and staying hydrated can help reduce these symptoms of detoxification.

You should avoid using lymphatic massage rollers if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • Lupus – Individuals with lupus may react differently to infrared light depending on their sensitivity and medications. If infrared light triggers your lupus or photosensitivity, the infrared feature on the rollers can be switched off during your session.
  • Pregnancy
  • Hemophilia
  • Photosensitivity
  • Thrombosis
  • Open wounds

Always consult with a healthcare professional before using lymphatic massage rollers to ensure they are safe for your specific condition.
